Arto and Aila Viita-aho founded Viita-aho's Mattokutomo (Viita-aho Weaving Mill) in Lappajärvi 1973. Their children are today conducting the professional carpet factory known as VM-Carpet. Arto Viita-aho's heritage lives in the continuous R&D, in strict quality and in ever growing success.

Our product development follows closely today's demands which ensures the outcome of the research to bring into the market practical and environmentally friendly products. The operation and production are guided by the Natural Design philosophy which means that the whole manufacturing process is organized in a way where the burden of raw materials, production methods, design and living span of products on the environment is minimized to the least.

Production

The high quality of our products is supported by mastering the technology and professional skills. The effective cutting and backing line which was taken into use in 1998 made it possible for VM-Carpet Oy to start weaving 4 meter wide and 30 - 60 meter long rolls. We offer carpets in both standard and custom sizes, as well as, in special shapes. Today we are even more competitive volume- and pricewise with our new cutting and packaging machines.

Sales
